IVAN'S
HOMELAND

Experience "Ivan's Homeland," a powerful visual exploration inspired by the harrowing journey of a young boy during World War II. This unique installation, measuring 96 x 120 inches, utilizes materials such as canvas boards, paper pulps, and terracotta reliefs to depict the profound of war on social landscapes. Through innovative assemblages and wall-based installations, Abesh invites viewers to reflect on the transformation brought about by conflict. Exhibited at Nandan Gallery in Santiniketan in 2015, this work serves as a poignant reminder of resilience amidst destruction.
A museum display presents a collection of artwork and artifacts, titled "Ivan's Homeland," which uses mixed media to depict the experiences of a 12-year-old boy during wartime.

Experience "LAND-BREAD-DEMOCRACY," a thought-provoking installation curated by Amit Mukhopadhyay, where Abesh's innovative artworks the intricate relationship between land, sustenance, and democracy. This captivating piece features wall installations of cut and shaped bread, illuminated by natural light and printed on archival canvas, 96 x 120 inches across three main panels, and was showcased at Nandan Gallery and Gallery Art & Aesthetics.

AFTER-WAR
Abesh's compelling series, "Social," employs Pink and Blue Dye based Watercolour on Cotton Papers to address the profound social issues surrounding war zones, capturing the stark contrasts from homes horizons and drought-stricken lands to tortured faces. He displayed over 33 works at Academy of Fine Arts in Kolkata in 2023, each piece invites viewers to reflect on the haunting root & culture devastation by the war which brings to end of social landscapes.
